Male or Female Rod End Bearing?

Male rod end bearing (POS) — external thread on the shank. Screws into a tapped hole, a threaded tube or a female coupler.

Female rod end bearing (PHS) — internal thread in the body. Screws onto threaded rod or studding.
- Both types are self-lubricating with a zinc-plated steel body.
Right-Hand vs Left-Hand Thread
Most linkages use a right-hand (RH) rod end at both ends. Fit a left-hand (LH) rod end at one end and an RH rod end at the other to make an adjustable turnbuckle-style link: turning the rod lengthens or shortens it without disconnecting either end. Common on track rods, gear linkages and adjustable control arms.
