How to Choose a Gas Strut Bracket

Check the strut end. A ball socket end needs a ball stud bracket; an eyelet end needs a pivot bracket with a pin.
Match the ball size. 10mm ball studs fit most UK gas struts; 13mm suits larger commercial struts.
Pick the mounting face. Flat plate for a flat panel, side mount for a frame edge, L-shape for a corner.
Choose the finish. Zinc for indoor use, A2 stainless for outdoor and marine use.

Ball Stud Sizes

10mm ball — Fits most UK gas struts
13mm ball — Older and larger commercial applications

Looking for a ball stud or gas strut end fitting on its own? Every bracket here ships with its ball stud pre-fitted. Loose ball studs, ball joints, eyelets and clevis forks are in our gas strut end fittings range.

Gas Strut Bracket FAQs

Are brackets sold in pairs?
Yes, every bracket listing is a 2-pack — one for each end, or one for each of two struts.

Do I need a left or right bracket?
Side-mount brackets are handed. Fitting a strut on each side usually needs one LH and one RH bracket — our RH/LH set covers both.
